Today I had my first Port Play. On the days that we are in port, only two staff members have to work during the day, splitting a 10-hour shift. I had to turn on the Teen Disco, but I didn’t have all of the keys, so I just did what I could. I was really tired after yesterday, so I hoped no one would actually show up. No such luck. I had one little girl, Maison, the entire time I was there. I did manage to write some postcards, cut out some of the things we use for programs, and make some bead things.
When I finished Port Play, I went to the Garden CafĂ© to eat with Crocodile and then got off the ship to mail some of my postcards. I also did a little window shopping before heading back. When I got back to my room, I took a shower and took a 2-hour nap. It was nice. We got dressed up to go see “Bollywood” again. After the show we had a White Hot dance party and a snowball fight. It was a lot of fun except that we tried to use the Teen Disco and still couldn’t without the keys. Oh well.
After program, we all went and changed for the Filipino party. They did the show the night before, but the after party was tonight. They had a raffle (I didn’t win) and free alcohol again! It was fun but really windy. After too much drinking, we smuggled some “lemonade” (as we call it in front of any passengers) down to one of the Second City guys’ room (remember the free room service thing? Oh yeah. Free.). Try fitting 7 adults in one cruise ship room. It was pretty funny. We ordered a lot of food and drank more before heading home. When we left, Popsicle kicked someone’s room service tray in the hall making a lot of noise. To make it worse, when Lego walked past 30 seconds later, she did the exact some thing. Oops. Hope the passenger she woke doesn’t complain!!
