Today is not off to a good start. I was supposed to be in the lobby to meet my ride at 9:30 am. I got up with enough time to take a nice shower and have some time to get ready…in a relaxed way. I’m drying off after my shower at 8:30 when the phone in my room rings. I’m trying to figure out how Jim got the number to the hotel as I go to answer it. It’s not Jim. It’s the front desk. My ride is there. My response? “I’m supposed to be down there by 9:30.” Her response? “They come between 8 and 8:30. So I get dressed and packed in a record SIX minutes and run to the elevator. When I start going down, 5 adults with their luggage and 2 children are getting on. One of the children, Michael, doesn’t want to get on and mom is wrangling the suitcase. I am crammed against the wall. I wanted to tell her to wait. I didn’t. Not my place.
I run to the front desk where they tell me that my bus is the gold one out front. I get to it but I can’t get my suitcase on. It’s too heavy and there isn’t enough room. So I wait for the driver. I wait out there for 15 minutes until driver comes out (with no one else by the way. I was the last one they were waiting on). So now I’m on the bus. I’m hoping it will get better. Let you know!
