Today is the only day (I think) that the ship will go to Hamilton. It’s funny because it is about a 45 minute ferry ride from King’s Wharf to Hamilton but when the ship stopped in Hamilton, it was a 30 minute tender ride to Hamilton. I guess the only difference is that the tender is free!
I wanted to go shopping as opposed to going to the beach or something else. We weren’t able to get off of the ship until around 11:00 and had to be back to the tenders at 3:00, so a big activity seemed pointless. Lego and I took the tender to Hamilton and shopped around a little bit. Some of the other YCs were coming out a little later, so we all met up for lunch at a place called Flanagan’s. I had THE BEST sandwich ever! It was so good!!
After we finished lunch, we didn’t have much time for shopping, so Lego and I went and bought half price bus tokens. Normally it’s $4 to take the bus or the ferry, but these were a pack of 15 for $30. This way when we go to the beach it won’t be $8 round trip, but $4. Plus, if we do something where we have to take the ferry and the bus, it will be $8 instead of $16. And that is your math lesson for the day.
When we got back, we went to the spa again. This time we used the hot tub and the sauna. Not a fan of the sauna. It was miserably hot there. I hated it. I only lasted 5 minutes at the most. Ick.
That night we had program and got to go see the onboard show; “Bollywood.” They describe it as a mix between Moulin Rouge, Cirque de Soleil, and belly dancing. Wow. Wow. There was one man and one woman singing who were not amazing. They danced to and partially mouthed the words to the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. There was a lot of belly dancing. The best parts of the show were the cirque acts. I am so impressed by that skill and technique. Other than that, I was not impressed. Oh well, it was fun overall and a nice break from the kid’s crew room.
